Lauren Benton

Attorney at Law

Lauren is a shareholder of the firm and focuses her practice on real estate and transactional matters. She relocated to Myrtle Beach in 2014 and joined the Bellamy Law Firm in January of 2017. As a native South Carolinian, she was born in Columbia and raised in Greenville. Lauren’s legal career began in the Fifth and Eleventh Judicial Circuits. She is passionate about the Myrtle Beach and Grand Strand communities and strives to use her passion for real estate and transactional work to better serve the people of this area. She also is dedicated to ensuring her clients receive the care, expertise and attention they deserve and expect.

Lauren graduated magna cum laude from Furman University with a Bachelor of Arts of History in 2008. She was on the Dean’s List for all of her semesters at Furman and was also a member of Kappa Delta, Phi Alpha Theta (History Honor Society), National Honor Roll, Phi Eta Sigma (Academic Fraternity), and the Debate Society. During her time at Furman, she studied for a summer in Florence, Italy and a summer at Boston College.

While at the University of South Carolina School of Law, Lauren was a member of Women in Law, the Student Bar Association, was the recipient of the Honorable Sol Blatt Scholarship, and was on the Dean’s List during multiple semesters of her studies. She also served as the Research Assistant for Professor Marcia A. Yablon-Zug and as a law clerk for a firm in Downtown Columbia.   Lauren, her husband, Spencer, and their family live in Myrtle Beach. In addition to her professional organizations, she is on the board of Habitat for Humanity of Horry County and an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Myrtle Beach.
